In a foster home in Northern VA ready to meet you!

** 3.5 months old 17 lbs Female**
** Up to date on age-appropriate vaccines as well as Microchipped**
** Adoption Fee: $300**
** APPLY TO ADOPT LAGUNA: [www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpw]

There are some puppies whose pictures immediately get hundreds of likes, shares, and applications. And then there are puppies like Lovely Laguna — the ones we worry people might scroll past because something looks just a little different.

Please don't scroll past her.

Laguna is an absolutely precious 3-month-old, 17-pound baby girl who was born with a congenital eye condition. Her left eye didn't develop as large as her right, leaving her with only about 20% vision in that eye. The wonderful news is that Laguna has full vision in her right eye.

When we first learned something was different, of course we worried. Would she be in pain? Would she need surgery? Would this affect her quality of life? So Laguna went to a veterinary ophthalmologist, and we received wonderful news.

Her left eye is simply underdeveloped. Her eye pressures are good, she isn't experiencing discomfort, and the ophthalmologist believes she should not need any further intervention. In fact her exact words - "She is perfectly imperfect" With full vision in her right eye Laguna is busy doing exactly what a puppy should be doing, enjoying life!

And Laguna? She has absolutely no idea that she's supposed to be different.
She plays. She explores. She snuggles. She gives kisses. She gets excited about all the wonderful things puppies get excited about.

You know what she needs - A FAMILY!

A family who will look at that slightly smaller eye and think it's one more thing that makes their girl special. Someone who will scoop her up and whisper, *"You're coming home with me." Someone who will give her a soft bed, toys scattered across the floor, adventures, training, belly rubs, and a lifetime of being loved.

Because the hardest thing about Laguna's condition isn't her limited vision in one eye. It's the possibility that someone will choose another puppy simply because both of their eyes look the same.

Laguna won't understand why she's overlooked. She'll just keep waiting. And that's the part that breaks our hearts.

This little girl has her whole life ahead of her. She deserves birthday treats and Christmas mornings. She deserves walks and car rides and a favorite spot on the couch. She deserves to recognize the sound of her person's footsteps and know that they mean something wonderful. Most of all, she deserves a home where she knows, without question, I belong here.

One day, the person who adopts Laguna isn't going to see her eye when they look at her. They're going to see their girl. Their shadow. Their snuggle buddy. Their little troublemaker. Their best friend. And they're going to wonder how anyone could possibly have passed her by.

Lovely Laguna has full vision in her right eye and about 20% vision in her left — but she has 100% of her heart ready to give to someone.

She is 3.5 months old, 17 lbs, up to date on her age-appropriate vaccines, working hard on potty training and microchipped.** Her adoption fee is $300.

Please be the person who sees what we see. Her eye may be a little different. But Laguna is absolutely perfect!

**APPLY TO ADOPT LOVELY LAGUNA www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr
