Loupita's Story

Sure, Loupita doesn't have the flashy looks of those purebred dogs, but she's best in show when it comes to personality! This shy but sweet little cuddle bug was rescued from an overcrowding situation in New Mexico where she was attacked by another dog who was competing for food and damaged her right eye. The vet determined not to put her through surgery to remove her injured eye, so she has a bit of a Halloween-ready look, but it doesn't bother her any. All that she is worried about is finding a cozy place to hang out and a person to give her all the love she deserves after her rough start in life.

She gets along well with other dogs and doesn't react to cats. She tends to be more on the mellow side and tells the young dogs when it's time to settle down, but she will play with a toy or another dog every now and again. She'd probably be a good companion for an older dog who doesn't want to play constantly, but would also be content as an only dog so she can have all the snuggles to herself! She would also probably do great as an office/shop dog!

This sweet little angel is houstrained, loves her crate, walks beautifully on leash, and rides well in the car with a little encouragement to load in and out. She is so far pretty quiet and doesn't bark. She would be fine for an apartment or condo and a lower-energy owner who wants a buddy to hang with on the couch and maybe enjoy some easy hikes with. She is about 4 years old, 40 lbs, and spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is currently located in Longmont with transport available.

For more info, please contact Sarah: 720-235-6863 or sarah.groenwald@gmail.com
