Louis's Story

Louis is 14lbs and 9 years old. He’s good with dogs and cats, and is special needs with blindness. That doesn’t slow him down tho, and this loyal boy would love to meet you!

Update- Louis, a 15 pound, very affectionate toy poodle, age 9, would love to be your loyal and constant companion. This wonderful little dog is a great balance of love and independence, who can be left on his own at home. One of a recently released hoard of poodles, he was the one dog in dozens who trotted bravely, joyfully out of the house where he’d been held and into the arms of his rescuers. Though Louis is blind, he has quickly adapted to and found his way around his foster mom’s home. (A halo provided by Silver Linings can be used while he is adapting to a new home.) His foster calls Louis, her “angel dog” because he is so loving and easy to be with. Already housebroken, he quickly learned the door to go and stand by when he needed “to go.” He is a good traveler in the car, can walk on a leash but really doesn’t require much exercise outside, because his place is By Your Side. Louis gets along well with other dogs, but had always rather be cuddling; on your lap or sleeping with you. If you are a less active person, who would love to welcome an always affectionate little companion into your life, Louis is your pick!
