Suddenly he’s wiggly, playful, and even will go up to new people for affection on his own. Other dogs are his confidence, his comfort, and his guide to the world.<br/><br/>Because of that, Louie is looking for a home with another dog. Not just any dog, but a kind, medium-energy companion who isn’t too forward or overwhelming. With the right canine friend, Louie opens up beautifully, showing off his playful side, his sweet nature, and his confidence. He would also love things like pack walks or doggy playdates… anywhere he can safely socialize and continue building on new experiences with a buddy by his side.<br/>In his foster home, Louie has shown that once he bonds, he bonds deeply. We are not saying he is going to follow you to bathroom constantly but you can expect a +1 every now and then. He has attempted to climb a certain type of fencing when stressed, so a home with a secure, appropriate fence and mindful observation while he learns about his new home will set him up for success.<br/><br/>On leash, Louie does well and enjoys his walks, especially when he has another dog alongside him. He has even joined weekly pack walks of 1–2 miles and keeps up nicely. Like many sensitive pups, he’ll benefit from adventures and experiences in the world but he already has a wonderful foundation.<br/><br/>Louie would do best in a home with older children or adults who can give him the time and space he needs to feel safe.
