Louie - in foster care. Such a special dog!'s Story

If interested in Louie, please call the Randolph Animal Shelter and leave a message. 973-543-9333<br/> Louie ?????? Looking for the perfect companion for car rides, hikes, trips to Home Depot (he loves to say hello to everyone inside), strolling downtown for ice cream or just hanging around the house? Look no further! This affectionate potato can do it all! His foster family includes two small dogs and three cats and he has been respectful to them all. He does well with slow introductions and clear direction - he listens and wants to please. Louie is lovely on leash, shows no resource guarding and takes treats very gently. He is an extreme chewer when it comes to toys and we have found that he does best with toys rated as such. He is a perfect gentleman in the house, is crate trained and the few times he has jumped up against the kitchen counter, he responded to “down” right away. One of our favorite things about Louie is his chattiness, he communicates with grumbles, and when it is meal or treat time he has plenty to say! He is not much of a barker - only an occasional bark when our other dogs really get going. Louie does have a minor medical condition due to being neutered late in life and/or an untreated bladder infection (treated once he came into the shelter) - causing him to have some incontinence. He wears a belly band and is so good about it! Louie is estimated to be between 7-8 and is approx 56 lbs. He takes a bath like a pro and has no problem having his ears or feet cleaned - just the most laidback guy!
