Louie's Story
Meet Louie!

Louie is a 1-year-old, 20-pound Schnauzer/Yorkie mix with lots of potential and a willingness to learn with a little patience, consistency, and love.

Good with cats: Louie does well with cats, although he can be a little overly curious. The cats may need to remind him of their boundaries, but he has not shown aggression toward them.

Louie is great with other dogs/animals he is super cuddly & loving!

Leash walking: This is an area where Louie needs some work. With consistent training and someone willing to put in the effort, I believe he has the potential to learn quickly and become a great walking companion.

Great in the car: Louie rides quietly and does very well in the car. However, he sometimes tries to climb into the driver's lap, so he'll need to learn to stay safely secured in his own space while the car is moving.

Potty training: Louie is making good progress and does most of his business outside, although he has had a few accidents indoors and on the back porch. He'll benefit from a consistent routine and a patient person to help him master his house training.

Barking and home environment: Louie is generally not much of a barker during everyday activities, although he may bark occasionally when playing. He does tend to bark when left in a crate while his foster leaves the house, so he may need some help learning to feel comfortable when alone. Because of this, a standalone home would likely be a better fit than an apartment or condo with shared walls.

Louie is a young dog with so much potential! He's still learning and will thrive with someone who can offer patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. If you're willing to invest a little time in training, Louie could be a wonderful and loving companion.

Could Louie be the right addition to your family?

To fill out an application for Louie please go directly to our website blessedpawsanimalrescue.com

Adoption fee $350
