Louie's Story

THIS IS A COURTESY POST!!!

Introducing Louie...

Louie is a 6 month old blue brindle Pitbull Terrier mix.

This resilient lovebug is thriving in his foster home after having a very rough start in life. At only 4 months old, Louie was turned in to the city shelter, urine stained and caked in fecal matter after being found as a “stray”. Louie suffered from a severe nutritional deficiency that affected his front legs. After two months in his dedicated foster home, proper nutrition, supplements & swim therapy (where we learned that he LOVES to swim), Louie’s front legs are finally back to normal.

Louie loves to learn and recently graduated from an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program. Since he is extremely food motivated, training is enjoyable for both Louie & his handler. He is crate trained and is working on being house broken. Walks with Louie are pleasant since he walks well on a leash and is non-reactive to other dogs. Louie is strong in body & mind and will excel in a home committed to continuing his training.

Louie is looking for a home where he can be the center of someone's world. He chases cats and can play too rough with other dogs. Most importantly, he does not take social cues from other dogs. Which, in the dog world, is an unfavorable quality.

Louie is an energetic pup who loves to go for walks, play outside and would make an excellent adventure companion. He is a very outgoing and fearless pup that loves meeting new people and exploring new things. Louie benefits from a lot of exercise, activity, and mental stimulation. After a good walk or training session, Louis loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his people for a long nap.

He is neutered and microchipped. He has had rabies & bordetella vaccines along with a complete series of distemper, lepto & lyme vaccines. Louie is also current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

A 6 week Manners & More obedience class will be donated to his adopter.

If you have any questions about Louie or think you might be interested in meeting him, email his foster Mom at peachyshell113@yahoo.com

A meet & greet in your home and a vet reference will be required to adopt Louie.
