Lou Lou Who's Story
Meet your future little snow-flipping sidekick!

Lou Lou is a 9-week-old retriever mix who’s equal parts adorable puppy and mischievous gremlin — and he fully owns both roles. He’s smart, curious, playful, vocal, and just stubborn enough to keep life interesting.

He’s doing really well with house training for his age and knows that outside is the place to go. He’ll even ask! If you don’t respond fast enough, he might improvise (hey, he’s still a baby). Puppy pads by the door have been a big help, and he’s improving every day.

Crate training is also a work in progress. He settles after a few minutes, sleeps well with one overnight potty break, and is getting more comfortable — especially when another dog is nearby. He would much rather be out playing, exploring, or supervising everything you do.

This little guy has big puppy energy. He loves chewing, playing hard, and turning the snow into his personal gymnastics course — complete with somersaults, deer hops, and victory laps. He even plays a mean game of soccer! When he’s excited to see you, he’ll greet you with the cutest little puppy bark you’ve ever heard.

He’s friendly with people and other animals, though new places can make him a bit shy at first. He’s still learning his manners and can be a little pushy with other dogs, but he’s trying and improving daily. With encouragement, he will settle and take naps (eventually).

He would thrive in a home with another playful dog or an active family ready for puppy antics, patience, training, and lots of love. He’s not perfect — he’s a puppy — but he’s sweet, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to his people.

If you’re ready for laughs, chaos, cuddles, and a whole lot of puppy love, this little gremlin might just be your perfect match.

Adoption fee is $1000 which includes microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, deworming, and complete vet check. There will be a $400 rebate for proof of spay/neuter if not completed by the time of adoption. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application at www.helpingpawsrescue.ca.
