Lou's Story

Meet Lou, a beautiful 6-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog X with a look as unique as her personality!

Lou is a smart, energetic, curious and incredibly fun young girl who is ready to find her person and continue learning all about this big world!

At just 6 months old, Lou has already shown us just how clever she is. She is eager to learn, loves having something to do, and has so much potential! She is the kind of dog who will thrive with someone who enjoys teaching, training and finding fun ways to keep their dog both mentally and physically busy.

Lou would love an active home that can keep up with her energy and give her plenty of opportunities to learn, explore and use her very smart brain. Whether it’s training sessions, adventures, enrichment or simply learning new skills together, Lou is happiest when she has something to do and someone to do it with.

Lou is also working on feeling more comfortable around other animals and people she is unsure of. Her new family should be prepared to continue building her confidence through patient, positive training and give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable in new situations.

Adoption Fee: $550

Includes microchip, spay/neuter, flea & tick treatment, all vaccines, and deworming.

Please note: We adopt to force-free homes only. Lou’s future family must be committed to continuing positive, force-free training methods.

Providing Animals With Safety for Life Foundation's Adoption Policy
So... you think you have what it takes to adopt? Getting a puppy or a new dog is an exciting moment in a person's life. Dogs truly become part of our family, which is why here at PAWS, we are dedicated to helping pets stay in their forever homes through our application vetting process. We carefully review each application in search of the best match for every dog that comes into our care. Let's talk commitment! Getting a dog means giving them unconditional love and fulfilling all of their needs for the rest of their lives. The basics include love, food, water and shelter - but there is so much more! Be sure you have plans for things like: what will you do with your pet when you go on vacation?, are you able to afford veterinary costs?, and are you willing to take your new dog in for force-free training? If you're ready, we'd love to hear from you! Fill out an application today!
