Lottie's Story
# Meet Lottie! Your little love bug!

Female I Manitoba Designer Mutt I 20lbs I 5 months I UTD on shots I Good with dogs and kids

Background:

Lottie was rescued from Northern Manitoba and is now settling into city life in downtown Toronto! This sweet girl has adapted beautifully to her foster home, where she's learning all about the world around her. She's currently living with a 6 year old potcake and absolutely loves copying her foster sister, learning from her, and being part of the pack!

Personality:

Lottie is a friendly, affectionate, and confident little girl who loves absolutely everyone she meets! Whether she's greeting new people with a wagging tail, bouncing up for pets, or flopping onto her back for belly rubs, Lottie is always ready to make a new friend. Her favourite things include giving kisses, getting cuddles, and being wherever her people are!

She's playful, curious, and loves interacting with other dogs. Lottie is a social butterfly who would happily play all day if you let her, but she also has a wonderful off switch and settles down nicely for naps once she's gotten her energy out. She's great with children and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loving, fun, and adaptable puppy!

Ideal Home:

Lottie would thrive in a loving home where she can be included in everyday family life, whether that's neighbourhood walks, weekend adventures, playtime in the yard, or simply snuggling on the couch. She's currently being fostered in downtown Toronto and has adapted well to city living, but she'd be happy in a city, suburban, or rural home!

She's a great candidate for a family dog and could be a lovely match for first-time dog owners who are ready for all the fun (and learning!) that comes with raising a puppy. Lottie enjoys the company of children and other dogs, and she could do well with a dog sibling who enjoys playful puppy energy and can help show her the ropes.

Lottie is still young and in an adaptable stage, so with thoughtful introductions and continued positive training, she has lots of potential to learn how to live harmoniously with other pets. She does show some mild prey drive, so introductions to cats and smaller animals should be managed carefully.

Lottie can get excited when she spots unfamiliar dogs on leash and may react because she wants to play! She'll benefit from continued leash training and positive guidance to help her feel safe, build confidence, and learn that she doesn't need to greet every dog she sees.

Training & Activity:

Lottie is a smart cookie who is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved! She already knows how to sit and lie down, is learning to sit patiently before meals, and is making great progress with her crate training. She's learning to settle in her crate both during the day and overnight, and she's doing wonderfully!

House training is still a work in progress, so she'll need a family prepared to maintain a consistent routine, offer frequent potty breaks, and celebrate her successes. She's currently going outside every 2–3 hours, along with her regular walks.

Lottie enjoys two 30–40-minute walks a day, neighbourhood adventures, playing fetch or tug-of-war, social play with other dogs, and puzzle or treat-dispensing toys. She's moderately energetic, with her biggest bursts of excitement usually happening in the morning after breakfast and her first walk, and again in the evening. She loves a good zoomie session before settling down for a nap, and she sleeps well in her crate overnight!

Like any puppy, Lottie will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, basic obedience training, and opportunities to explore the world at her own pace. She's a quick learner with a big desire to please, and she's already off to a fantastic start!

Summary:

Lottie is a cuddly, happy-go-lucky little girl with a whole lot of love to give! She's friendly with everyone she meets, wonderful with kids, playful with other dogs, and smart enough to pick up new skills quickly. She loves her walks, her toys, her belly rubs, and especially being part of the action with her people!

She's still learning her puppy manners, working on house training, and figuring out how to navigate the world on a leash, but she's making great progress and has so much potential. Lottie would love a family who will include her in their adventures, keep her little mind busy, and make plenty of time for playtime, kisses, and cuddles.

If you're looking for a sweet, social, adaptable puppy who will bring laughter, affection, and a whole lot of tail wags into your home, Lottie might just be your perfect match!

All applicants must be residents of Toronto or the GTA to apply.

**Apply here to adopt Lottie:**
http://seapawsrescue.org/adoptionApplication.html
