Lottie's Story

Meet Lottie — Zoomie-Loving Girl!

Lottie is a sweet, affectionate Great Dane who is equal parts cuddle bug and playful puppy. At just 1 year old, she is still learning how to navigate life in a home and does so with lots of enthusiasm and personality.

Location: Fostered in Sanford, NC
Age: 1 year
Energy Level: Very active

Why Lottie Is Special:

Lottie is a true “lap Dane” who loves to sit, lean, and cuddle with her people. She has impressive zoomies and brings a lot of joy and laughter to daily life. Soft stuffed toys are her favorite, and she is always eager for affection and attention.

Training & Daily Life:

Lottie is house-trained and crate-trained. She is still learning to walk nicely on a leash, but recent walks have gone well. Car rides are sometimes okay for her. Due to her size and enthusiastic, paw-heavy play style, she would do best with another big dog rather than a small one.
She has met children of various ages and has done well, but because she is still learning her size and boundaries, Great Dane experience is recommended for families with very young children. She is friendly with adults and strangers but can be overly excited when greeting new people and is still working on polite introductions.

Things She Doesn’t Love:
- Lottie is not a fan of the vet, vacuums, or loud household appliances.

Lottie’s Ideal Home:

Lottie would thrive in a home with another large dog, space to run and play, and people who understand that she is emotionally and mentally younger than her age. She is learning quickly but needs patience, structure, and consistency to continue building confidence.

Lottie is a Great Dane through and through — goofy, loving, sensitive, and full of personality. With the right home, she will grow into an incredible lifelong companion.

=========================
To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form!
https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176

Team Rocky Enterprises, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
How Our Adoption Process Works Team Rocky Enterprises DBA Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab (SRGDRR) follows a thoughtful adoption process designed to ensure the best possible match for both our dogs and their future families. Our available dogs are posted on our website, Facebook page, and multiple adoption platforms, including Petfinder. Once you find a dog you’re interested in, the process includes: 1. Adoption Application – This helps us learn about you, your household, and what you’re looking for in a dog so we can make the best match. 2. Veterinary Reference Check – We verify that current or past pets have received appropriate veterinary care. First-time pet owners are welcome and encouraged to apply. 3. Phone Interview – This is a chance for us to talk with you about the dog you’re interested in, including personality, needs, medical history, and any quirks. It’s also your opportunity to ask questions about the dog and our rescue. 4. Home Check – We confirm that your home environment is safe and appropriate for the dog, whether that includes a fenced yard or a leash-walking setup. This is not a housekeeping inspection—just a safety check. Once all steps are completed and approved, you’ll sign an adoption contract and submit an adoption donation. From there, your new forever friend will be ready to head home! Why This Process Matters Our goal is to match each dog with a home that best meets their needs. Some dogs thrive with experienced owners, while others do best with someone who is home most of the day or understands specific behavioral or medical needs. Taking the time to get this right helps ensure lifelong, successful adoptions. Our Lifetime Commitment If at any point you are unable to keep your adopted dog, you must contact us. We will always take our dogs back. We never want them to end up in unsafe situations or shelters again. Our responsibility to each dog lasts for their lifetime. Thank you for choosing rescue and for considering adoption with SRGDRR.
