Loreta's Story

Meet Loreta: A Bowling Ball of Love Looking for Her Forever Home!

5 year old, 47lbs Loreta found herself at the shelter in January of 2025. A microchip was found, meaning she had a possible owner, but nobody came to claim her. She was immediately friendly and wiggly with volunteers, seeking affection and having little bursts of zoomies. The Dog Coalition LA team quickly fell in love with this scrumptious sweetheart and she exited the shelter on foster in February with one of our own team members!

Loreta is ready to be the newest addition to a new family! She is fostered with 3 resident dogs, 1 large and 2 small. She does not discriminate based on size and loves to cuddle with any and all of her foster siblings, as well as sit politely with them while she waits for snacks. Neither does she discriminate based on snack: she would especially love a home that would be open to sharing their cucumbers and raspberries. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and is a great listener! Loreta also enjoys leisurely neighborhood strolls where she can show off her strut (waddle).

She would thrive in either a multi-dog household, or as a single lady in her new forever home. We believe she would also do nicely in a home with children, as she has has shown herself to be gentle, patient, and affectionate with them (maybe because she was a mama dog herself).

What You Should Know About Loreta:

- Perfect size and age little lady who is sure to charm the pants off of her new family.

- A cuddly and sweet low-medium energy gal who loves to lounge in the sunshine or snuggled up in someone’s lap.

- Would be perfect for someone looking for a pal to chill at home with some light activity and easy-going weekend activities.

To meet Loreta, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla and her foster @ffgandfriends for updates!
