Londyn's Story

Meet Londyn!
Londyn is a 4-year-old female pit bull who is still finding her footing in the shelter environment and can be quite nervous as she adjusts to all the new sights, sounds, and people around her. Despite her uncertainty, she is already beginning to show us the incredibly sweet and gentle girl she truly is once she feels safe. Londyns previous home did inform us that she showed signs of food guarding, meaning she would growl if her food bowl was touched while she is eating. While she hasn't shown us this here, we believe she might once she's more comfortable. Her new forever home will need to be comfortable with this boundary, and will ideally not have any kids. Londyn will thrive in a calm, patient home where she is given the time she needs to decompress and build trust at her own pace. She could do well with a calm, well-matched larger dog who can help her feel more secure and show her the rhythm of home life. More than anything, she needs a family who understands that confidence doesn't happen overnight and who is willing to let her slowly learn that the world is a safe and loving place.
With patience, kindness, and understanding, Londyn is expected to blossom into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. Once she knows she's safe, her true personality will shine-and she will be an incredibly rewarding best friend.
