All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. Although we do not currently require appointments for adoptions, an adoption application must be approved before anyone is able to meet with our adoptable animals while accompanied by one of our staff or experienced volunteers. You're encouraged to submit our adoption application ahead of your visit to be pre-approved. Click the link to the right to download our adoption application. Adoption Fees: Cats Kittens – 4 months and under: $40 Cats - 5 months and over: $25 Senior Cats (7+ years old): $10 *As of 3/1/24, we will not be providing a free cardboard carrier for adopted cats. Please bring a carrier or you can purchase a cardboard carrier for $5 at the time of adoption.
