LOLA's Story

Hello, my name is Lola!
I’m a red dapple Dachshund mix with a past full of stories and sass to spare. How old am I? Well, that depends on who you ask. One vet says I’m around 9, another swears I’m 12+, but everyone who meets me thinks I’m more like 6 or 8. Let’s just say I’ve got everyone fooled — and I plan to keep it that way.

Life hasn’t always been kind to me. I started off loved and cared for, but things went downhill a few years back. And for a dog, a few years can feel like a lifetime. I’ve had my share of challenges — a few surgeries (I’m officially retired from baby-making, thank you very much), some lumps and bumps removed, and a major dental makeover. Now that I’m feeling better physically, I’m working on my attitude — because, well, healing takes time, inside and out.

Let’s be real: I need to be numero uno. I’ve fought too hard to share my throne. I’m particular about my food (a self-proclaimed canine food critic), and after years of having to fight for my meals, I guard what’s mine. So, if you’ve got other dogs — we’ll need to discuss boundaries. And if you’ve got cats? Forget it. I DO NOT do cats.

But if you’re looking for a bougie foodie, a spicy sausage (that’s what my vet calls me), or a feisty señorita with a big heart under all that attitude — I’m your girl. I’ve fought hard to be here, and I believe I’m still here for a reason.

Maybe that reason is you. ??

Adoption fee includes: Spay, microchip, vaccinations and a whole lot of extras
