Lola's Story

LOLA IS CURRENTLY IN BOARDING & NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP

Meet Lola, a one-year-old, 55 lb. pittie sweetheart who is smart, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people. She came to us after being posted online with the heartbreaking caption: “Free dog. Need to get rid of her.” We immediately stepped in to make sure she was safe, and since then, Lola has shown us just how special she truly is — loving, loyal, and eager to please — despite the instability she has already endured in her short life.

Lola is young, energetic, and thrives on companionship and engagement. She previously lived in a foster home with other dogs, children, and even a bird and has done well with everyone. Lola bonds deeply with her person and wants nothing more than to be close, whether that means cuddling on the couch, following you from room to room, or simply being nearby. She is a natural protector and finds comfort in knowing her person is close.

She is crate trained, house trained, food motivated, and loves learning. Lola knows sit and paw and is working on lay down (sometimes with so much excitement she rolls right onto her back). She redirects easily and responds well to training, especially when given reassurance and clear guidance.

Because of the instability she’s experienced, Lola does have separation anxiety and is protective of her person so she needs patience and consistency to help her understand she is safe. A secure 6 ft. or higher fenced yard is recommended, as Lola has jumped fences in the past simply to stay close to her humans.

Right now, Lola is stuck in a kennel in boarding, which is incredibly hard on a dog who just wants to be with her people. She urgently needs a foster or adopter ASAP who can give her stability, reassurance, and the chance she has been waiting for.

Lola’s adoption fee is $400 and she is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you can foster or adopt Lola and give her the loving home she deserves, please apply at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. Questions? Email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
