Lola is in a foster home in Kent WA

Lola, 7 years old, female, Labrador retriever mix, 46 lbs. Sweet Lola was owner surrendered to a high kill shelter in Houston Texas. Thankfully a foster reached out before this pup ended up on the euthanasia list. Lola transported to Oregon early January to settle in before finding her perfect home.

Lola was in a foster home with a lot of other dogs in Texas. Due to the other dog's behaviors and energy Lola did not interact with them. Her current foster home has no other animals. She has met some dogs through her fenced in yard. She has passed by other dogs on walks. She would need to meet any resident dog on a meet and greet to see how she interacts.

Lola really enjoys going on walks. Her foster has spent some time helping her to not pull on leash. She tends to get distracted and go off in various directions. Lola may be a "senior" but she has lots of energy!

She is housebroken and doesn't mind a crate. She loves to play with her toys- tug of war is her favorite. She is food motivated so this has greatly helped with training.

Her current foster reports no separation anxiety. Lola has been okay alone in the house. She also rides great in the car. She is very affectionate and sweet.

Lola is an older dog with a fair amount of energy. We would love to find her a home that will keep her forever. She may need some training on leash, but appears to be very trainable.
We have no history with kids and recommend a home with kids 9 years and older.

***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***

The first step in our process is filling out an application. We will review your application as soon as we are able- there are two of us and we do the best that we can. We review applications on a first come first serve basis and look for the best fit/match for the dog and applicant.
