Lola's Story

Lola is a 13 year old girl who was surrendered to the shelter for medical reasons after she'd been in the same home for 12 years. When taken into the rescue, she was in poor condition with severely overgrown nails, covered in fleas, and had an upper respiratory infection. She has since gotten a spa day, include a mani pedi, and a complete senior blood panel workup, meds, and heart worm treatment. Lola is an easy going, sweet girl who loves to cuddle, prefers a playpen over a kennel, loves to socialize with friends, and will break for a snack at any time. While she's hard of hearing, it hasn't stopped her from letting out a good basset howl. Lola has been great with the other dogs and people she's met so far. She will do well in a home with pets of a similar chill, happy pace.

Since Lola is newer to the rescue, we are still evaluating all of her medical. She has some lumps on her body we will surgically remove and send out to see what all is going on. She is also Heartworm positive. We will provide this care while in foster, but we are excited to start looking for a forever home to spend her golden years.

Caitie's Foster Fam's Adoption Policy
• Potential adopters are required to submit an adoption application and be approved before they can physically meet a foster dog. All pets in the home must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered (medical exceptions must be communicated). We require an application, virtual home visit, personal/vet references, meet and greet, and $350 adoption fee. • Suitable applicants may be contacted for additional screening. • Once approved, meet and greets with the foster dog and foster parents will be scheduled with qualified applicants. • The adopter pays adoption fees and signs an adoption contract. Foster dogs cannot go to a potential adopter’s home until the fee and contract are received. Foster dog then goes to its new forever home.
