Lola's Story

*Please reach out directly to us at info@desertwillow.org or apply on our website at www.desertwillow.org as contacting us through PetFinder does not always go through.*

Lola isn't a dog, she's a house hippo. She embraces all things hippo - she likes to lounge, she likes to soak in her pool, and she likes to eat. This hippo gives great kisses freely. She is super friendly with people and has so much love to give!!!!

We don't know how old Lola is but we think she is around 3(ish) years old. She had babies and was a very good momma. Lola is just shy of 80lbs - but don't let her weight fool ya, she thinks she's a little girl. Despite her size, she is very gentle. She walks incredibly well on leash and took to going for strolls immediately. She is lower energy and a stroll and cuddles is her ideal day. She would appreciate a pup pool in the summer, but it's not a deal breaker. She is very smart and is picking up on skills quickly.

She does not react to dogs we see on walks, though she has not met other dogs in our care. We do not know if she is dog friendly.

Lola is an incredible girl and may just be that missing piece in your family! Reach out about her and we can set up a time for you to meet her and receive her kisses!
