Lola's Story

Lola is a 1yr old bundle of sweetness. How anyone could just leave her in a high kill shelter is beyond our comprehension. Today 6/23/26 was supposed to be her euth day, but we said, "NOT ON OUR WATCH". <br/> <br/>She is dog friendly, good with well-mannered kids, but cats are unknown, <br/>She walks well on a leash and engages nicely with the handler. Gem State Service Dogs & Rescue's Adoption Policy
A potential adopter is sent an pre-screening application for adoption and once the rescue gets the application back after it's approved, we will call to interview the applicant, then the person or family can arrange to meet the dog. If all goes well and the adopter wants to move forward the rescue will arrange to do a home check and bring the dog with the necessary adoption contract and all records. At that point is when we would leave the dog with the new family.
