Loki's Story
Meet Loki!
Loki is a 9 month old German Shepherd! He has not yet been neutered, so his adopter will need to get that completed in accordance with state law.
Loki was surrendered to us through no fault of his own when his owner could no longer afford to keep him. This teenage kid is loaded with fun and a big willingness to learn! He already knows sit, but needs some help with other basic commands. He does have a bad habit of jumping on people and it will need to be worked on appropriately! On the bright side, Loki is housebroken! Just be sure to give him grace as he may need some time to adjust to a new home's routine.
Loki has met and done well with other dogs, but as always, we would suggest doing a meet and greet just to be sure. He also does good with children, but we would strongly suggest he go to a home with older children who can take a tumble or two until Loki learns to not jump when he is excited. He has not yet had the chance to meet cats and we would be willing to have him meet our office cats to gauge how he might be able to live with them.
At the moment, Loki is a bit underweight as he is going through a growth spurt. Adopters will need to keep this in mind as they plan to feed him. He needs plenty of protein to fuel his growing body!
Loki is a great boy and is very treat motivated! He just needs adopters who are prepared to take on the smart and energetic breed that is the German Shepherd!
Loki has been started on his vaccines and is ready to find his forever home! If you are interested in Loki, call or stop by the shelter to meet him!
