Loki's Story

**Meet Loki A Sweet Toy Poodle Looking for the Right Home **

Loki is a playful, curious 7-month-old neutered Toy Poodle with a wonderful personality. He loves people and enjoys being involved in whatever his family is doing. He is very affectionate and will happily let you know when it's time for cuddles.

Loki is crate trained, pee pad trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. His foster mom places a chew toy in his crate in case he wakes up early, and he settles well. He is currently learning to walk on a leash and will need a patient family committed to continuing his training and socialization.

Loki also loves car rides and travels very well, making him an excellent companion for outings and adventures.

Due to his small size, Loki is not suitable for homes with children under the age of 12. He has not been exposed to cats or children under 12 years of age.

### What We're Looking For

To help ensure Loki's success, we are seeking:

A detached single-family home only
A fully fenced yard (non-chain-link fencing preferred)
No unfenced yards
No acreages
Someone who is home frequently and not routinely away for 8+ hours per day
A commitment to force-free training using one of our rescue's approved trainers
No children under the age of 12
No large breed dogs currently living in the home or visiting regularly
No dayhomes, daycare facilities, or daycare-type settings

These requirements are in place for the safety and well-being of Loki, our rescue, and his future family.

We do not approve the use of trainers outside of our approved trainer network. We have established working relationships with our trainers and want to ensure our dogs receive consistent, humane, force-free training methods.

### Adoption Area

Our adoption area is limited to:

Beaumont
Devon
Leduc
Edmonton
Fort Saskatchewan
Sherwood Park
Spruce Grove
Stony Plain

Please do not inquire if you reside outside these areas. Even well-trained dogs can experience accidents during the adjustment period as they learn a new routine, environment, and family schedule.

We ask adopters to be patient and understanding during the transition. Please expect that an accident or two may occur during the first few weeks while your new companion settles into their home.

### Learn More About Our Rescue

Please email us to request our **About Our Rescue** information package. Heart Prints's Adoption Policy
PLEASE EMAIL US at the following email address: Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com Thank you for considering adoption. As you are probably already aware, shelters & rescues are always full of lovable dogs that have been abandoned through no fault of their own, and who are always in need of a good home. Dogs thrive when they have a routine, stability and a set place to call home. As such, it is our main goal to strive for best fit for the dog and the family, and not first come, first served. We want to make a happy dog, and a happy family! Our adoption process is thus in-depth and concrete. It may take a few days, and sometimes a few weeks or maybe even longer for your new family member to come home to you. Simply because during our process we carefully screen both our dogs (personality, needs, etc.) and potential adopters, to do our best to fit the right dog with the right new home.
