Loki's Story

Welcome to Camp Cocker, Loki!

Loki was owner-relinquished in Mongolia, where his owners were unable to keep him. This handsome boy will be arriving in Los Angeles on Friday, Oct 2, ready for a new home in America!

All About Loki:

1. People
Loki is extremely people-oriented and has very little stranger anxiety. He usually approaches people in a relaxed,
natural way and enjoys physical affection and interaction. He is not constantly demanding attention, but when he
wants affection he can be very sweet and expressive.

2. Other Dogs
He is calm and socially appropriate around other dogs. He typically greets by sniffing, then moves on rather than obsessively following or demanding play. He can comfortably share space with other dogs. In a safe off-leash dog-
play setting, however, he may become much more energetic and playful than he is on leash.

3. Separation / Alone Time
Loki has mild separation-related anxiety. When left completely alone, he may whine and scratch at the front door for a
while, but he eventually settles and does not remain continuously vocal. Even when someone is home, he may look
for or follow his foster caregiver if she moves to another room. A gradual adjustment period and slow alone-time
practice are recommended after adoption.

4. Walks
He loves walks and is generally very easy on leash. He tends to match the handler’s pace and walk slowly and calmly,
with very little sudden pulling or impulsive behavior. He especially loves grass and may roll around, lie down, or
relax there. His general walking style is leisurely rather than high-intensity.

5. Potty Habits
Loki has mainly used outdoor potty during foster care. His foster home has access to a rooftop yard, allowing frequent
outdoor bathroom breaks. Indoors, he usually holds it unless he has been alone for a long period or is very urgent. If
he does need to go inside, his pee-pad accuracy is approximately 80%. When he urgently needs to potty, he becomes
noticeably restless and circles, making his signal relatively easy to recognize.

6. Toys and Play
He enjoys balls and toys that he can carry or chew. When he first entered foster care, he was very calm at home and
mostly played with a ball. As he became more secure, his Cocker playfulness and mild mischief began to appear. He
may investigate or chew paper or small household items left within reach, but this has been more playful than
destructive.

7. Fears / Sensitivities
No major specific fears or sensitivities have been identified in foster care. He is generally calm in new situations and
accepts routine household handling well.

8. Crate / Kennel
His response to a travel crate/kennel has not yet been fully assessed, so gradual positive crate introduction is
recommended before long-distance travel.

9. Grooming, Veterinary Care, and Handling
Loki is very cooperative with routine care. Veterinary examinations, bathing, grooming, ear cleaning, and paw
handling have all been manageable without aggression. This is particularly helpful given that his ears will require
continued maintenance.

10. Bite / Guarding History
No bite incidents, resource guarding, or notable defensive behaviors have been reported during foster care.

11. Appetite
Loki is highly food-motivated and eats quickly. Food smells make him very excited, and he tends to eat anything he considers edible. Human food, dropped food, and food left within reach should therefore be managed carefully.

12. Energy Level and Home Behavior
His overall energy level is moderate and his baseline temperament is calm. He was initially very quiet in foster care, but as he became comfortable he gradually showed more playful and mischievous Cocker behavior. He has been exceptionally quiet and his foster has essentially not seen him bark. He settles well at home, enjoys resting on beds or
cushions, and has become increasingly comfortable sleeping in cozy spaces rather than only on the floor.

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination.

Stay tuned for new details & further updates as we get them.

Follow #CampCockerLoki – here and on our Facebook& Instagram pages!

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination.

Follow #CampCockerLoki – here and on our Facebook& Instagram pages!
CAMP COCKER RECOMMENDS: For current status, updates, photos, videos & details about Loki, please visit his webpage at
https://www.campcocker.com/dog/loki-2026 also follow our social media.

APPLY TO ADOPT at www.campcocker.com/adoption-process

#CampCockerLoki
