Loki's Story

Have you been looking for your next dappled unicorn? Well that may very well be Loki!

Loki is a 5yr old male Great Dane. He's a slim 113lbs and healthy. He came from a loving home where he lived since puppyhood. He lived with another dog, has good experiences with dogs, kids, cats and people. He is house trained, good on leash and rides nicely in the car. He also seemingly, enjoys vet visits! Fireworks don't bother him either. He is an all around perfect boy!

Loki is being treated for ear infections and his records indicate he has had them throughout his life. Routine cleaning and monitoring is recommended. He is also not comfortable with nail trims and records indicate that he has at some times, been sedated for trims. We seek a home that will be patient and work with fear free methods to help condition him to accepting work with his feet.

Loki misses his family and all that he knew. He needs time to adjust and his behaviors initially will likely be different until he is comfortable. He lived with another dog (who was also surrendered) and used to frequent dog parks. He has not shown any interest in our farm cat but caution should still be used. We are told he is good with children and he is very sweet but since his world has been turned upside, a home without young children may be best.

Lokis adoption fee is $600 and includes:

Vet care: blood panel, heartworm test, fecal, completion of ear treatment
Current vaccines
Microchip
Balance Harness
Go home bundle
Fi GPS collar + 6 mos service ($20 activation)

Loki is located in Oakville WA. Meets are held here.
We seek adopters in Western WA, NW OR and reasonable driving distances from Oakville, WA.

Meets are scheduled after we have approved an application. Misspits Rescue's Adoption Policy
Misspits Rescue takes in dogs from various sources including local shelters and owner surrenders. All dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped and treated for parasites prior to adoption. Dogs live in a foster home first so we are able to provide some insight into their behavior, training, likes and dislikes etc so that we can try to make the best match. Our mission is to place them in a forever home so there is a thorough adoption process including a home visit. We are a non-profit rescue and all adoption fees go back to supporting and helping more dogs. Please contact us if you are interested in one of our dogs. Thank you for considering a rescue!
