Locust's Story

Locust is an eight-year-old, 78-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big heart and plenty of life left in him!

Locust arrived at the shelter with Honey after the two were picked up by a DoorDash driver and left in a small pen at the shelter. We recently learned more about their story and discovered that they originally had a family who had to give them up because their landlord would not allow them to stay. 💔

Honey and Locust have been together, and they can be adopted together or separately. Locust is protective of Honey, although he also picks on her a bit. 😂 They do love to play together, and despite being eight years old, these two certainly don’t act their age! They have plenty of playful energy and fun left in them.

And Locust LOVES his toys! 🧸⚽️ Give this boy a big ball and he’ll happily push it around the outside pen. He loves grabbing the hanging rope toy, too—sometimes jumping up and hanging right from it. He loves balls, toys, and even swimming with Honey in the pool. 🏊‍♂️
