Loca's Story
12-year-old Loca was surrendered to the Downey Shelter by her owners, who said they were moving and couldn't take her along. Throughout her life, Loca lived with other small and large dogs. During her time at the shelter, staff noted that she did well in playgroups and was calm and gentle around dogs of all sizes. We found all of this to be true when sweet Loca arrived on-site.

Since the end of November, Loca has been living in a Foster home, and her foster mom has only wonderful things to report.

"Loca is the best girl! She'll roll on her side when you are anywhere near her for a belly rub. She LOVES being brushed. Loca would be great for a slower paced lifestyle - she gets around the house and yard fine, but her hips and elbows don't allow any long walks and make steps tough. She's got the potty training things down, and we are working on how to gently take a treat. She's smart & watches what our other dogs do/tries her best to follow suit. She gets along great with dogs and kids.

Loca is an amazing coworker. If you work from home, this girl will snooze quietly and enjoy sharing your office space. She loves to be cozy and has claimed the warmest spot in the house."

Loca is still looking for a forever home where she can spend her golden years as part of a loving family. Might that be with you?

To meet lovely Loca, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
