Lobo's Story

Meet Lobo - our handsome Husky mix who has been patiently waiting an entire year for his forever home!

As of March 11, Lobo officially became the longest-staying pup in our rescue program, and while he's been incredibly patient, we know his biggest dream is still waiting to come true - a family of his very own.

***Through March 16th, we'll be waiving his adoption fee for his best match! So, submit your application by this weekend to not miss out.***

Lobo first came to us through our wonderful rescue partners outside of Cancun, Mexico, after surviving life as a street-savvy stray. Today he's safe here in Central Oregon, where he's staying at a sanctuary-style foster and boarding home. There, he gets to play with dozens of other dogs, stretch his legs, and enjoy the wide open space. He's doing well and making the most of it - but what Lobo really wants is something he's never truly had before: a home, a couch, and people to call his own. And trust us - this boy is worth the wait. Lobo is a striking Siberian Husky mix with the adventurous spirit and personality that makes the breed so beloved. He's active, intelligent, and always ready for the next outing. Hikes, snowy adventures, long walks, road trips - Lobo is the kind of dog who will happily be right there beside you for it all. He's friendly with people, enjoys other dogs, and walks beautifully on leash. Like many dogs who spent time surviving on their own, he'll thrive with a home that offers structure, routine, patience, and love as he continues to settle into the rhythms of family life.

Lobo would do best with:

An active person or family who enjoys the outdoors

A securely fenced yard or space where he can run and play

A home with older, dog-savvy kids (or adults) who can match his energy

Someone familiar with - or willing to learn about - Huskies and northern breeds

He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go home the moment his person finds him.

After a full year of waiting, we would love nothing more than to see this incredible boy finally get the happy ending he deserves.

So please share Lobo's story and help us find the person or family meant just for him.

Because while Lobo is safe and cared for where he is... his real dream is a home.

Could you be the one to make it come true and be his lucky hero?

PupFax: Lobo
Adoption Status: Available for Immediate Adoption
Medical Status: Cleared
Location: Bend/Central Oregon
Rescue Intake Type: Rescue partner/international

At-a-Glance Stats -

Age: 3 years (approximate)

Breed: Siberian Husky Mix

Size: Large

Weight: 60 pounds (Approx. last weigh-in)

Sex: Male

Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Vaccinations: Up to date (core vaccinations)

Microchipped: Yes

Personality & Temperament: Friendly

Energy level: Medium to High

Home & Lifestyle Fit - Active, Experienced

People: Good

Dogs: Good

Cats: Not for this boy

Activity Level: Higher energy, playful

Ideal Home: Active, Patient, Understanding, Very Calm

Training & Manners -

House/Potty Trained: Not sure, mostly lived outside

Crate Trained:

Leash Skills: Needs work

Commands Known: Unknown at this time

Food/Treat Motivation: Yes please!

Health Notes -

Overall Health: Good

Known Medical Needs: N/A

(All known medical and behavioral information is disclosed prior to adoption.)

What this pup Is looking For:

What We Know & Why We Love Them (foster/volunteer/staff feedback):
