Loba's Story

Meet Loba!

Positives: Loba is a complete darling. It’s easy to fall in love with her as she is extremely cute, has a great personality and is very affectionate with her people. She enjoys being part of anything and everything as long as she is with her humans. She does walk very well on a leash and really loves treats. She has enjoyed spending time outdoors and has previously loved hanging out in the backyard of her fosters. she is your typical chatty husky, one who you can carry a conversation with. She has no problem talking back for telling you what she wants. She gets along well with other dogs and is polite when they are introduced to her properly. She can sometimes be a little bit shy, but does come out of her shell. She’s very eager to please and has not shown food aggression or resource guarding at this time. She would do well in an environment where she is the only dog or with a well matched second dog in the home. She loves belly rubs, head scratches and doesn’t mind getting groomed.

Things she needs support on: Loba is a really sweet girl but does best with slow introductions with other dogs. She does get along well with other dogs following her introductions, but doesn’t appreciate when a dog rushes her, gets in her face or displays more dominant behavior. She will need a home that understands it’s going to take time for her to come out of her shell, that she may not trust you off the get-go and that she may have an accident here or there. Her new home would need to be willing to put time into giving her a gentle training refresher, providing her with structure and a routine. She will need mental and physical stimulation to thrive in her new environment.

Location: Langley, BC
Age: 5 Years Old
Size: 50lbs to 55lbs
Gender: Female
Vaccinations and spay/neuter: Vaccinations are UTD and she will be spayed prior to adoption.
Potty trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Kid friendly: Yes but would do best with older respectful children.
Dog friendly: Yes
Cat friendly: No
Energy level: Medium
Drive: We have seen a bit of a prey drive with small animals like cats, rabbits and squirrels.
Adoption fee: $100
