Lizzy's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Hi, my name is Lizzy! I was originally named “Liza Minnelli” because of my beautiful dark masking eye shadow markings around both of my eyes. A lady in the SPIN foster group says I look like a 2 of Diamonds!

I’m just lucky SPIN saved me from a shelter and took me into the loving foster homes of SPIN. I’ve been waiting on my permanent forever home since Spring of 2024.

This past Saturday I had the most wonderful play date with a couple of my former Great Pyrenees buddies, Carson and Teeny. It was just like old times, chasing squirrels, running around the big grassy yard playing chase. And then all of us Great Pyrenees piling inside for a drink, cool off, eat dinner, then a big fat nap.

I’m only about 2 years old, very well-behaved (at least I think so), house trained, great with other dogs, and love going on neighborhood walks (because as you know, Great Pyrenees are real show stoppers on a walk). If you are a big dog person, want a social, well-behaved big dog, I’m your girl (Lizzy)!

Thank you for looking at SPIN rescue dogs for adoption. I would have been toast if SPIN Rescue hadn’t saved me.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
