Arrival story: Lizzy was sprung from an over- crowded local shelter when her big puppy smile melted our hearts.

Approximate age / Weight: 10 mths/37 lbs

Personality: Meet Lizzy! She's a super sweet, fun-loving, snuggly girl! Lizzy's perfect day is playtime with her dog pals, a game of fetch and going for a walk. The walk would probably top her list if it involved a couple of squirrel sightings as Lizzy is certain squirrels exist for her chasing entertainment. But a squirrel is no match for a yummy treat offered by her foster mom to get her attention back to the walking task at hand. Lizzy knows basic commands and has been going to classes to polish up her skills and work on her manners. Lizzy loves a loud and raucous play session with her dog pals who also love this type of wild and crazy play. As outgoing as this fun girl is, she can be a bit shy meeting new people and likes to get to know people at her own pace. She's already house-trained and crate-trained and ready to meet the family she will lavish with all the love and joy she has to give.

Forever home: Due to her energy level and boundless big puppy excitement, Lizzy would do best in an adult household or with older, active children. She loves to play with other dogs but is a rough and tumble kinda girl so she would need a good match for her play style. She hasn't had the pleasure of meeting a kitty so her response to them is unknown. Lizzy would do best with a patient and involved family who will continue her training and socialization. She'd love a fenced yard to zoom around in and get her sniffs on. No invisible fences please.
