Lizzie is a petite little survivor that is more than ready to find her forever home! In 2025, she was found as a stray and needed lifesaving abdominal surgery for a large wound, after that she moved into a foster home and tackled her heartworm treatment! <br/><br/>About Lizzie:<br/>2 years old<br/>Spayed Female<br/>35lbs (Perfect petite size!)<br/>Microchipped, UTD on Vaccines & Preventatives<br/>Potty & Crate Trained<br/>Currently fostered in Charlotte NC<br/>Has completed heartworm treatment!<br/>Shy with Strangers (being addressed in training)<br/>Very Loyal and Loving once she feels safe<br/>Busy Bee personality<br/>Wants to live in an active home and be someone's adventure buddy<br/>Would prefer to be an only pet but could live with another dog with continued training and proper introductions<br/>Would do best in a home with no kids or older children because of her high energy<br/><br/>She recently completed a 3-week board & train program in Charlotte NC. <br/><br/>Her training focused on:<br/>Basic manners (no jumping) <br/>Sit, Down, Place<br/>Recall skills<br/>Leash manners<br/>and reactivity/impulse control<br/><br/>Lizzie is not aggressive - her reactivity shows up as being vocal when she is unsure or overstimulated. Her trainer has been working hard with her to build her confidence. Her trainer is also offering continued support for her next foster or her adoptive family! She will come with her e-collar which the trainer will provide instruction on how to use, and she will help support her continued training!<br/><br/>Lizzie has shown what an amazing girl she is! Now she just needs an amazing family to match! <br/><br/>Lizzie's time with her trainer is quickly coming to an end. She needs a new foster or an adopter by January 1st to avoid boarding.
