Lizzie's Story

Lizzie is a 4 yr. old spayed female Shih Tzu /Terrier mix, retired puppy mill mama surrendered to our care.<br/>Lizzie is a sweet gentle girl a bit timid at times due to her past life, everything is new to Lizzie including love, she asks for pets and loves a good ear rub.<br/>Lizzie will also sneak the occasional kiss!<br/>Shes tested well with low energy dogs, unknown with cats and remarkably Lizzie loves all people, warning she can be a flight risk.<br/>Lizzie is doing well with potty training and basic commands she is very smart and learns quickly.<br/>She loves to please.<br/>Lizzie loves to go for daily walks, gentle with taking treats and is easy with feeding, has shown no food aggression and she will require regular grooming.<br/>This very special girl will need a patient loving family who will continue to love her, encourage and help her continue blossom into her true self.<br/>She was spayed microchip 40 X test and had a dental cleaning<br/>Lizzie would make wonderful additional family member who will love unconditionally.<br/>Complete attached application <br/>https://form.jotform.com/220475254186154

The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy
All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop.
