On top of that, she tested positive for heartworms. Despite everything she had endured, Lizzie's spirit never wavered. After months of healing, treatment, and lots of love, she is now completely healthy, heartworm-free, spayed, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.

Unfortunately, because of her extended stay in rescue, Lizzie has been shuffled from foster home to boarding facility and back to foster care through no fault of her own. She has waited far too long for someone to see what we already know: Lizzie is the full package.

At just 35 pounds, Lizzie is the perfect petite size, but don't let that fool you—this girl is a busy bee! She is active, athletic, and always ready for her next adventure. Lizzie recently completed a 3-week professional board-and-train program and comes with continued training support from her trainer to help set her future family up for success.

Lizzie is crate trained, potty trained, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and knows how to be a wonderful house dog. She is currently thriving in an apartment foster home, proving she can adapt to different living situations, but she'd also love a yard or outdoor space where she can stretch her legs and burn off some energy.

Her dream home? Someone who loves being outdoors as much as she does. Lizzie would make an amazing hiking partner, jogging companion, trail explorer, or adventure sidekick. She wants to see new places, experience new things, and most of all, share those experiences with her person.

Lizzie prefers to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention she deserves. While she can comfortably exist around other dogs in structured settings like boarding facilities and kennel environments, she is happiest not sharing her home or open social spaces with them. Due to her enthusiastic energy level, a home without small children is best; kids over 10 years old would be a great fit.

Lizzie at a Glance:

2-3 years old
Spayed female
Petite 35 lbs
Crate trained & potty trained
Completed professional board & train program
Continued training support included
Microchipped, vaccinated, and on preventatives
Active, fun-loving personality
Best as the only pet
Best with children 10+
Loves hiking, jogging, and outdoor adventures

Currently fostered in Huntersville, NC
Transport available anywhere in NC or SC
Adoption fee sponsored!

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who is ready to take on every adventure by your side, Lizzie is waiting to meet you.

Please email daisybeanrescue123@gmail.com for more information or to apply to adopt Lizzie!
