Lizzie's Story
Lizzie is a sweet and gentle girl who gets very attached to her person. She has excellent house manners. No chewing, begging, counter surfing or getting on furniture unless invited. No destructive behavior. She can entertain herself with her toys, loves balls and her stuffed animals. She does not have separation anxiety and will wait calmly for your return at home.

She has done very well with the cat in her foster home - mostly ignores him and sometimes they’ll try and play together.

Lizzie is doing well on leash and has learned not to pull and now controls herself around squirrels and birds. She is somewhat friendly to most dogs but she has a more independent nature. She has a couple of dog friends she plays with at the park, but she's not played in a dog park with dogs we don't know.

She isn’t bothered by loud noises, traffic, construction noise or commotion.

She sleeps through the night in her crate and will go into it willingly when needed. She'll snuggle with you and follow you around. A very loyal girl.

Lizzie will bark when people come to the door and when people come inside. After a few minutes she'll stop, but she will be cautious. She would do best in a home without a lot of people coming and going. A protective dog savvy owner is best as it takes time for her to accept new people. We are working on her going to her place and to be calm when visitors arrive. She is making good progress.

She loves going in the car and on long walks.

Apply to adopt Lizzie here:
https://forgottencoastanimalrescue.org/adoption-app
