Howdy friends, my name is Lizzie and I am a 9-10 year old hound mix. Don’t let my age fool you. I can run circles around any of those other 4 legged youngsters. My foster mom likes to call me bunny because I do this cute bunny hop when I get super excited. <br/><br/>I am a very active senior girl who would do best with an active family. I would make a great hiking partner. <br/><br/>I am wonderful with people of all ages but may accidentally knock over a small child. <br/><br/>I’ve done well with all the dogs I’ve met, large and small. I’m very neutral on my interactions with my 4 legged friend and tend to lean on the submissive side.<br/><br/>I am house and crate trained. I’m doing well on my leash training. I know sit and stay commands.<br/><br/>April 2026 foster update: <br/><br/>Lizzie has come a long way since she came to my home. Lizzie is great with kids and all the dogs she’s met. She is very treat motivated and loves her food.<br/><br/>Lizzie is fully housebroken and will let me know when she needs to go out to potty. She does need to go pee more often than my other dogs but I can leave her out for 4-5 hours with no accidents and she now sleeps out at night and hasn’t had any accidents.<br/><br/>She isn’t the type of dog that will snuggle with you but when I’m sitting in my recliner she comes and sits next to me and wants to be petted. Lizzie does great in a kennel and she’s a quiet girl.<br/><br/>Lizzie is being fostered in Tooele. To schedule a meet + greet, fill out our adoption application!
