Liza's Story

Liza is a sweet, curly-coated little lady who's still figuring out this big, wide world - and she's looking for someone patient enough to figure it out alongside her.

Liza came to Mountain Humane with a group of nine under-socialized poodle-mix pups, and she's a work in progress. She can be timid around new people, dogs, and other stimuli, and will need a home that's ready to meet her where she is - not where they wish she was.

The good news? With positive reinforcement, consistency, and a calm environment, dogs like Liza can absolutely blossom. She's not asking for perfection - just patience. A quiet home, gentle introductions, and continued socialization will go a long way in helping this curly girl find her confidence and let her true personality shine.

If you're the kind of person who roots for the underdog (or under-poodle), Liza just might be your perfect match.
