Liv's Story

FOSTER CARE
Hello all, I'm Liv! I'm a 6 month old, spayed female Pit Bull mix that currently weighs 40 lbs. but I'm a young lady who is still growing! When I'm full grown, I can weigh around 65-75 lbs. as an adult. I'm still learning about this big place we call the world, and can be a bit unsure at first when encountering new things, so I'm looking for a family who can help me gain confidence and figure things out! Once I feel more comfortable, I'm such a sweet and silly little girl, so be ready for some fun and lots of cuddles! If I sound like the girl for you, and you want to give me equal parts love and guidance, come on over and ask for me! I would love to meet the whole family including any resident dogs before officially coming home, so please bring everyone. I can't wait to meet you! Liv ID#A980764
I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
Liv did great on the group hike today! Didn’t pull toward other dogs as long as I kept some distance between. No reaction to passing people or bikes. Did want to chase a bird. So sweet and affectionate, very attentive. She is unsure in the car though so could use some training there. I had to lift her in the car the first time, and then she slipped out before I could close the door, so she’s an escape artist from the car also! Coming back from the hike, she still did not want to get in the car, but when I tossed kibble in the backseat, she showed interest and put her front paw up, so I boosted her in and quickly closed the door. During the drive, I tossed a few kibbles for her to find in the back to keep her from trying to come up front and lick my head.
Sign up to meet me!
Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can inquire about an in person meet and greet with me by emailing your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to adoptinquire@phs-spca.org You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.
Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf
*The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads.
