Meet Little Star

Little Star was abused in Mexico and with the help of At-Choo foundation who helped with some extensive vetting and Mutt Mutt Engine for transporting Little Star to MN/SDR.

From Little Star's foster, what a great little dog about 12lbs. She gets along with everyone: big dogs, little dogs, and even cats. She is good with kids too. She is about 2years old. She doesn't bark or whine. She wants to be next you, she follows you everywhere.

Just starting to use a leash. She doesn't like the kennel so I just put her in the bathroom or a bedroom if you need to confine her. But I let her have the run of the house. She is pretty good about potty training but has had some accidents. Her overall training may be accelerated with a 2nd dog in the family for companionship and to follow as an example. Little Star will follow my dogs outside but she doesn't like the rain or snow.

I also feed her separate from my dogs, I just want them to have their space for that. She gets so excited when I get home she just wants to be loved. I have to say she is one of the easiest dogs I have had, very quiet little thing. Little Star's adoption fee is $300.

You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website.

Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophical opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, we must charge it.

We are offering a microchip placement for your resident dog for small donation to our rescue

Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond to you.

You must be 18 years of age to make an adoption request
