Little Man Bob OS NV PDR's Story

Bob is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who has been in rescue for over a year. He is what some might call a "difficult" dog, but we prefer the term "healing." He is caught in a heartbreaking cycle where he wants affection so desperately, yet his past makes him terrified to receive it. He was recently returned from an adoption because he wasn't given the weeks and months of quiet patience he requires to feel safe.
Here is what Little Man Bob needs:
Time: He won't be a "cuddle bug" on day one. You have to be okay with a dog who might just watch you from across the room for a while.
A Canine Guide: Bob finds his courage through other dogs. He gets along great with them and needs a confident dog sibling to show him that humans are okay.
A Low-Pressure Environment: A quiet, adult-only home where he can blossom at his own speed without being forced into interactions.
Every foster Bob has stayed with has seen him get a little bit better, a little bit braver. This video is proof that the sweet boy is in there-he just needs a hero who is patient enough to wait for him. Because we are committed to his journey, his adoption includes professional training support to help you and Bob bond.
If you have the heart to earn the love of a dog who has never known it, apply at PawsitiveDifference.org or email adopt@pawsitivedifference.org.
