Little Lemon's Story

**Our online application can be found at www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr**

At just 9 weeks old and a mighty 6 pounds, Little Lemon is convinced she is a very important explorer who was temporarily misplaced by the universe. One day, she and her two sisters were discovered in a box—clearly part of a top-secret puppy mission (or possibly someone’s very bad decision). Luckily, kind humans found them, and the trio was whisked away to foster homes where the curriculum includes How to Have Fun!

Lemon is currently enrolled in advanced courses such as:
✔ Chasing imaginary bugs
✔ Wrestling her own feet
✔ Perfecting the dramatic flop when picked up
✔ Studying the fine art of stealing socks

Her foster family reports that Lemon wakes up each morning as if she has been given brand-new batteries. She greets the day with tail wags, and a face that says, “What are we doing? Can it involve snacks?”

Despite her tiny size, Lemon has a big personality. She bravely investigates vacuum cleaners, stares down the scary broom, and believes every human exists solely to rub her belly. She is learning all the good things: that couches are cozy, toys are magical, and that potty training is a mysterious but very important puzzle she is determined to solve… eventually.

Lemon’s sisters are also in foster homes, so now Lemon is practicing being a little sister to her big foster brothers (instead of being part of a triplet) meaning she gets to hog all the toys, (or steal them from her foster brothers) and practice her cuddles. She is discovering how wonderful it is to fall asleep in a warm bed instead of a box and how humans make excellent pillows if you wiggle just right.

Her ideal forever home will appreciate:
• A puppy who will make you laugh daily
• A built-in foot warmer
• A tiny comedian with floppy ears
• A professional cuddle inspector

Lemon doesn’t remember much about life before rescue, but she knows this: life is good now, treats are better, and people are the best thing she has ever met. She is ready to trade her box origin story for a happily-ever-after on a couch, in a lap, or wherever her future family happens to be.

If you’re looking for a puppy who is equal parts sweet, silly, curious, and cuddly, Lemon is prepared to report for duty - with kisses, wiggles, and a lifetime of love.

Lemon is up to date on her vaccinations. Although we can't be sure since we don't know who mom and dad are - we believe her to be a border collie/Australian shepherd mix, so we are guessing she will be about 40-45 lbs full grown and her adoption fee is $450.

Our online adoption application can be found at:
