Little Daisy's Story

Little Daisy is a tiny sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. At just 10 lbs and 13 years young, she's proof that age is just a number; this special girl still has plenty of life, curiosity, and companionship to offer.

Little Daisy spends much of her day napping, but when the mood strikes, she'll happily wander around the house, exploring her surroundings at her own pace. Because she is mostly blind, she experiences the world differently, relying on her nose more than her eyes. One of her favorite activities is taking her time sniffing every inch of the grass during outdoor breaks. She's wonderfully thorough and clearly enjoys every moment of it!

She may not see well, but don't underestimate her determination. Little Daisy has no trouble finding her food bowl and eagerly makes her way to the kitchen when it's mealtime. She has a healthy appetite and especially loves treats, making her easy to reward and spoil.

While she isn't a cuddly lap dog, Little Daisy enjoys being near her people. She doesn't mind being picked up and is comfortable being held, but she's not one to stay in your lap for long. She prefers to enjoy affection on her own terms and is happiest simply being close by.

Little Daisy has ongoing eye issues and receives eye medication twice daily. She's remarkably cooperative with her care and patiently allows her foster to administer her drops.

She gets along peacefully with other dogs and has shown no interest in causing any fuss. She simply coexists and goes about her day. She has also done well around cats.

Little Daisy is mostly housebroken. She rarely has accidents with urinating in the house, especially when taken outside regularly for potty breaks. Like many senior dogs, she will occasionally leave a few little "poop pebbles," but they're easy to clean up and are a small tradeoff for such a sweet companion. When unsupervised, she settles comfortably in a pen with potty pads.

Little Daisy rides beautifully in the car and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, loving dog who asks for very little in return. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can enjoy leisurely strolls around the yard, cozy naps, and the comfort of having someone nearby.

She may not see the world clearly, but she has a beautiful way of experiencing it, and she's ready to share that journey with a family of her own.

If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion with a gentle spirit, Little Daisy just might be your perfect match.

Health & Wellness Needs: I take eye meds for dry eye, a gallbladder medication, and a pill for hypothyroidism daily.
