Little Anne is a beautiful Foxhound who was transferred to us from another area.<br/>She was originally found as a stray, so we do not know her background.<br/>Little Anne is energetic, friendly and eager to meet new people!<br/>Annie has met another dog, Ricky at the shelter and they get along great! Annie likes to mount him during play. Although it does not bother Ricky, some other dogs may take offence. She also tries this with some humans when over stimulated. <br/>Little Anne may have been used as a breeding hound as she doesn't know much more than sit. She is a nose to the ground hound, is sweet and happy and would like to have her own family who is committed to her training!<br/><br/>If you are seeking an energetic, affectionate dog, Little Anne is the gal for you!<br/><br/>Little Anne is 4 years old, spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She weighs 17kg (35lbs).<br/><br/>Foxhounds are highly energetic, independent, and sociable scent hounds known for their intense stamina, friendly nature with people/dogs, and loud, melodic baying. Caledon Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Caledon Animal Services has an Adoption Application process for all animals.. Dog Adoption If you are interested in adopting a dog listed on our website please call us at 905-584-2272 x4698 or toll free at 1-888-225-3366 x4698. Staff will answer any questions you may have about the pet and email you an adoption application. If your application is pre-approved, staff will schedule a meet and greet with the pet. Appointments will only be scheduled up to a maximum of 5 days in advance. Caledon Animal Services may contact you to cancel your appointment if the dog is adopted prior to your scheduled Meet & Greet. We do not hold. We do not accept walk-in visits for dogs.  Anyone applying to adopt a dog with an existing dog in the home will be required to bring their dog for an on-leash introduction. In order to bring your dog to the shelter for a 'Meet & Greet' we will require a copy of your dog's current vaccination records. Please call in advance for an appointment 905.584-2272 x4698. Cat Adoption If you are interested in adopting a cat, please call us to obtain more information of the pet. Staff will send you an adoption application via email. Once received, staff will contact you to schedule a meet & greet with the cat. We do accept walk-in visits to view cats during adoption hours, however, appointments are encouraged to ensure the cat you are interested in is still available. Our Adoption Hours are as follows: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 11:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Tuesday & Thursday 11:00a.m.-6:00p.m. Saturday 11:00a.m.-2:00p.m. Sunday CLOSED Please be aware that in order to place our animals in the home best suited to them, all applications are subject to review. The Corporation of the Town of Caledon reserves the right to deny any requests for adoption for any reason in the Town's sole discretion. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. When you adopt a dog or cat your are entitled to a free medical exam and 10% off of vaccinations at participating veterinary clinics only and must be redeemed within two weeks of the date of adoption.
