Lita & Ford - NY's Story

Lita and Ford are 5 year old St Bernard mix sisters. They come from a ranch environment where they were guardians to the owner’s pigs and mini horses before he passed away unexpectedly last year. A local rescue took them in about a year ago with the hope that they would be guardians to pigs and horses at the sanctuary. They are very good at their job and will keep any uninvited humans or animals off the property. Unfortunately they were never exposed to dogs and they are VERY aggressive toward other dogs and cats that reside at the sanctuary. There are a few special needs dogs on the property so this situation is dangerous for all. It’s not their fault - they are doing what they were trained to do. They have never shown agression toward the pigs, horses, or humans.

We hope looking for a home for these girls without other dogs or cats. They are wonderful dogs and deserve a place where they can run with no other dogs to bother them. They would make perfect guardians for any livestock ranch with a coyote problem. They are about 100lbs each, spayed, and up to date on all shots (due in December). We can transport in Texas and maybe beyond. It is a requirement that they stay together and go to a home with no other dogs or cats and strong fences.
