LINUS's Story
Linus has all the makings to be the dog of a lifetime, but needs someone with the patience, desire, and determination to gain his trust and show him that life is good. Linus came to us by way of a live trap after surviving on his own for many months in the country. It’s obvious by his fear and hesitation to trust that he never knew a kind human along his way. However, with time to decompress and food to motivate his interest in human contact as well as other four legged friends to follow, Linus appears to be a happy go lucky dog in his foster home after just a few short days. Linus continues to meet new people, go new places, and experience new things, each interaction, proving to him that there is good to be found with friends. He has proven to be an excellent travel passenger, is learning to be a good walking companion, thrives on routine with both kenneling, eating and playtime, and simply loves to be with his people once he knows he’s safe. We estimate Linus to be approximately a year and a half, about 70 pounds, and likely a German Shepherd and Rottweiler mix. We think another confident, social and playful dog in his new home will set him up for success. He does well in a kennel and loves to lay and roll around in the grass on nice sunny days. It is obvious that Linus has never known the luxuries of an inside home therefore encouraging his way through doorways, thresholds, flooring, changes, and lighting changes is important, especially in the first few days. Recommend for kids over 12 due to lack of exposure. If you’d like to meet this handsome man, please fill out an application and we will get back with you as soon as we can. $250

If you would like to meet LINUS please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
