Hes affectionate without being clingy, happy to check in for love and then drift back to his favorite spot nearby. He bonds well with his people and thrives when he knows hes part of the lineup .<br/><br/>Around other dogs, he really finds his stridethis is a pup who wants a linemate. He loves sleeping shouldertoshoulder, following his canine pals from room to room, and heading outside with a trusted potty pal. A home with another dog would be a highlightreel fit for him .<br/><br/>Cats , however, may take a little more patience and structure. Hes still figuring that matchup out. And he hasnt yet had much ice-time with young kids, so slow introductions and thoughtful coaching would be key.<br/><br/>When strangers come into the picture , Ruff reads the play. He may not rush the boards right away but give him a moment and hell size things up, curious and calm. Hes got a natural sense of whats his and who belongs therealert, observant, and quietly protective without being noisy about it. If something seems off, hell notice. If all is well, hell settle back in and let the game flow.<br/><br/>Ruffs play style is measured. He enjoys playtime , but hes not trying to go endtoend all day long. Short shifts suit him just fine. Too much fast action can wind him up but slow the pace down and he settles just as smooth as ice after the Zamboni. Hes adaptable enough to handle change, but he appreciates having a routine and sticking to the game plan.<br/><br/>Training is still a work in progress. Ruff isnt the pup who lives to please the ref, but hell learn with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement . House training is coming along nicely, improving day by day. Crate training is also underwaythere may be a little grumble from the bench when its time to go in, but he settles and handles it just fine. Hes not much of a talker overall, saving his voice for when it really counts (heckling the other players outside) <br/><br/>One thing to note: Ruff can be a bit protective of his toys, guarding the puck, so to speak. But with guidance and redirection, he gives them up and keeps the play clean.<br/><br/>All told, Ruff is a young pup still learning the gamebut with a calm demeanor, a loyal heart , and a love of teammates that makes him special.<br/><br/>Just one meeting and youll be saying this guys good, scary good! We need him on our team !!
