Linda's Story

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas or in the North / Central Texas area.

NAME: Linda
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 7 years old
WEIGHT: About 4 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Good with other small dogs, No with Medium & Large Dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Recommend adults only or children 13 and older

Meet Linda!

Linda is a sweet, gentle Chihuahua with a quiet, loving personality. She was surrendered when her previous owners could no longer care for her, and she’s now safe in foster care and ready for her forever home.

Linda is a mellow little girl who just wants to be close to her people. She was initially shy but has blossomed into a loving companion who enjoys belly rubs, cuddling on the couch, and soaking up the sunshine. She’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest simply being by your side.

Linda gets along well with other small dogs but is nervous around larger dogs, so a small-dog home is best. She doesn’t play much. She may do best in a home with another small gentle dog, as their presence helps her feel secure.

Linda is about 7 years old and weighs just 4 pounds. She has a lovely light tan coat and the cutest little ears. She’s fully vetted, including a recent dental, and is healthy and happy.

Linda would do best in a calm, low-to-moderate activity home where someone is around regularly. She’s not a big barker (though she does a cute little “sing” when excited!), is fully potty trained, walks well on a leash, and prefers to sleep in bed with her people.

Due to her tiny size, Linda will need a very secure, solid wooden fenced yard (no chain link). Because of her quiet, sensitive nature, we believe she would do best in a home with mature children (teens and older) who can respect her gentle personality.

Adoption Details:

Linda is being fostered in the Dallas, Texas area. If she sounds like the new best friend you’ve been looking for, please fill out an application! Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

Linda is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready for adoption. Are you ready to give her a forever home?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $300.00 adoption donation required. (It would be terrific if her new family would do a Facebook birthday fundraiser to offset Linda’s dental treatment medical bill, but additional money is not required with her adoption.)

As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.

After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog. Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
