Lincoln James's Story
Lincoln is a 4 year old guy with a big personality! We believe he is an Australian Shepherd/Lab/GSD mix. His suspected breed mix suggests he may be highly intelligent and eager to learn.

Lincoln is highly food motivated, and loves a ball! He craves leadership and engagement, and thrives with a handler who gives him structure. As of right now, Lincoln struggles with frustration in his kennel, especially when his physical and mental needs arent met. Herding breeds tend to struggle in a shelter environment. We know with the right person, who provides him with the fulfillment he needs, he will settle nicely.

Lincoln would thrive with an active family. We do not believe hed enjoy the company of younger children, but would be fine with teenagers! Lincoln would enjoy a low-mid traffic home. He would also enjoy frequent outings like long walks, trips to the store, or hikes. Lincoln loves to play catch, and will happily chase a ball. Lincoln would most likely enjoy herding games like chasing, stalking, and catching toys! Dont let his love for play fool you, though. He thoroughly enjoys receiving cuddles from his people, and wouldnt mind relaxing with you after a long day. Lincoln is definitely the type of dog to sit on the porch with you and watch the world go by!

Lincoln would thrive with an active family that understands the needs of working and herding breeds. Previous experience with high-drive dogs would be a plus, but the right family doesnt need to be experts. With consistency, structure, enrichment, and ongoing training, we believe Lincoln has the potential to be a wonderful companion in a variety of homes.

Lincoln James' $200 Adoption Fee is a great deal. He is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed & current on monthly heartworm preventative.

Lincoln James' estimated month of birth is 3/2022.

Visit Pals-Pets.org to fill out a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire or call 314.581.6651 to schedule an appointment to meet this pet or any others here at the shelter.
