During his time with us, he's captured the hearts of our staff and volunteers, becoming one of our most beloved residents.<br/><br/>When Lincoln first arrived at the shelter, he was everyone's friend and loved meeting new people. After spending so many of his formative years in a shelter environment, he's become more cautious with strangers and needs time to build trust with new people. Because of this, Lincoln is looking for an adopter who understands that meaningful relationships take patience and consistency.<br/><br/>Once you're part of Lincoln's circle, you'll discover the dog we all know and love. He's an affectionate cuddle bug who is happiest lounging in the sunshine with his favorite person, soaking up belly rubs and enjoying scratches on his big, squishy head. His loyalty runs deep, and the bond he forms with the people he trusts is incredibly rewarding. <br/><br/>While Lincoln has met and done ok with some other dogs, we believe he would thrive as the only pet in an adult-only home. His ideal family will be patient, understanding, and willing to let him adjust at his own pace.
