LINCOLN-the Country boy who would like to speak to management about this “inside dog” thing. <br/>Lincoln is 2 years old, handsome, smart, the perfect amount of energy and...he has some opinions about his best life...<br/>Lincoln started life spending a lot of time in a crate in front of a television. And that made him decide that indoor house pet was highly overrated. <br/>A couch? Meh.<br/>A living room? Why?<br/>A human bed? Absolutely not.<br/>A really nice outdoor kennel with room to stretch out, fresh air, and his people? Now that is living!<br/>Lincoln isn’t looking for someone to “fix” him and turn him into a traditional house dog. He is looking for HIS people. He wants to be with them, be included, and have a comfortable, enriching outdoor setup where he can happily hangout when they have non-dog things to do. We aren’t saying banish him to the backyard, quite the opposite. He wants companionship, he just happens to prefer his companionship be outdoors as much as possible...farmer? YES. Gardner? YES. Homesteader? YES. Live in the middle of the woods and just do stuff outside all day? YES YES YES. Netflix and chill? NOPE. <br/>Now let’s talk about the real Lincoln.<br/>He has early signs of hip dysplasia and is currently taking Dasuquin. His future family will need to be mindful of his joints, weight, exercise, and overall orthopedic health. <br/>Could he live with another dog? Potentially! Lincoln spent a little too much time at dog parks, and let’s just say he has some dog-social baggage to unpack. It would need to be the right dog, with appropriate introductions. <br/>People? LOVE. Big people, little people, men, women-this boy is a social butterfly when it comes to people. <br/>Obedience? SOLID<br/>Recall? EXCELLENT<br/>Crate trained? ABSOLUTELY<br/>Fancy outdoor accommodations? SIGN HIM UP. <br/>Lincolns typical day looks like brush hogging and trail clearing, a little obedience training, when his foster needs to tend to things he can’t be a part of he is in a large outdoor roofed kennel, with a nice house, and water, when it’s time to go to bed he is in a crate, in the quiet, with no t.v. or commotion.
