Lina’s FAQs

What is Animal Donation Advocate’s adoption process?

Once the adopter is interested in one of our dogs/cats, he/she must fill out a form with some important information such as his/her profession, details of his/her home (that are important for the pet, for example, if the property is fenced), the hours the pet would be alone, if everyone in the home is aware and in agreement with the adoption, and so on. There are many important details, so we read each application carefully. Once we approve the candidate, we need to speak by phone or email to resolve any questions and schedule a meeting with the pets. All meetings are in neutral environments such as parks, respecting the privacy of the adopters. Once the meeting is over, the adopter decides whether to keep the pet and signs a Pet Adoption Agreement. We provide the adopter with proof of vaccinations, sterilizations and de-parasitization, and we will be available for any possible issues that may arise. Two weeks (on average) after the adoption we send a follow-up email.
